Hello everyone how have you been doing?

Well well well I hope you've been doing great and have been able to put into practice some of the thoughts and things you learnt from the last MIND conference?  As we draw the curtain of this year to a close, Let me put you to remembrance of some of the things we learnt from last conference:

We had our  speakers discuss  on topics that we thought will help you bloom where you are planted. One of the topics explored on the day was the cost and price of relationships by Amanda Adeola (a family solicitor).

As women we often don't count the costs especially in our present  fast paced society where it appears there seem to be no consideration of  the depth of commitment required  especially in a marital  intimate relationship.

As I pondered on this, I realised that counting the cost is important before we engage in any activity. Even Jesus, spoke on the cost of discipleship and he had this to say

in Luke 14:28-30.

28 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? 29 For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, 30 saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’

Unfortunately the price we pay  for not counting the cost in relationships are multi faceted from heartbreak, loss of life and the lustre to live, to loss of money and divorce which  its self is an expensive process.

Prior to this, our first guest speaker Dr Seun Durojaiye spoke on being intentional.

Often times we fall into the routine of unproductive habits because our minds are programmed on auto pilot.

This session served as an awakening for us girls and women to realise that every moment counts and we need to intentionally engage our minds so we can account for our time in life.

The crux of this session was to be productive as women we need to live intentionally with laser focus and goals which we must achieve.

Finally, the last speaker Omowunmi Alabi spoke on what to do while you are waiting to be married. She got married at the age of 40 to the man  of her dreams.

Talk about the power of blooming where you are planted till you are translated to the next season of your life.

One of the major points that was highlighted in her session was as you work towards your ideal life and goal in this case marriage. It is important to live your life, develop yourself, improve your self career wise, physically expose yourself to experiences that will expand your mind and above all invest in yourself and watch the right man come for you at the perfect time.

At the MIND conference gatherings I must add that the sessions do call for soul searching moments and they do drive us to pursue our goals with greater focus and vision.

I'm certain there are various other things that were impressed in your spirit and mind during this conference and we would love to hear from you.
